The team that has come together to run this event has been drawn from among the best and most experienced personnel available in the two countries. Several of the key staff were members of the successful Thrust SSC team that took the current outright World Land Speed Record to beyond the speed of sound at Black Rock Desert , America , in 1997. Some of them are record holders in their own right, and they are well experienced in conducting World Record attempts to relevant International standards in the demanding environs of a desert setting.
