'Motivator' to be driven by a second challenger

Gabriel Uttley, a schoolteacher from Kent, has announced his plans to attack the existing two wheeled Land Speed Record in a streamliner that he is currently having built in the UK .

Gabby has already had considerable experience of road racing in the British Isles , and in recent years has been record hunting with conventional type motorcycles on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah . He has now decided to go for 'the big one' but has no experience of driving a streamliner. As this is something of an acquired art, to say the least, he approached Richard Brown of Team Maximum Impulse for help.

Richard referred him to their South African representative, and co-builder of 'Motivator' , Ray Wakefield. As a result it has been agreed that he will travel to South Africa at the end of May 2003 to assist Ray with his test work with 'Motivator' on the pans of the Northern Cape, whilst getting in some valuable driving experience.
